Magdir is operated by SHENZHEN YWO ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. This policy describes data handling for the Magdir website and its directory, accounts, listing services, and web tools. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected]. External manufacturer and merchant websites have their own policies.
Information you provide
When you register, we process your name, email address, account profile, and authentication information. Email-and-password accounts store a password hash rather than the entered password. Google or GitHub sign-in may provide your name, email address, profile image, and provider account identifiers and tokens needed for authentication.
If you submit or edit a listing, we process the company and product details, website links, files or images, and submission information you provide. Approved listing information is intended for public display. Support messages and newsletter subscriptions include the contact details and content you send.
Accounts, payments, and email delivery
Account, listing, and order records use Sanity. Stripe handles supported online checkouts and may collect payment and billing details directly. Magdir keeps related customer identifiers, order references, and transaction status to provide the purchased service; payment card details are entered into Stripe's checkout rather than a Magdir card form.
Resend is used for verification, password-reset, submission, payment, and newsletter emails. Relevant email addresses and message content are processed by the email provider. Newsletter subscriptions can be removed through the site's unsubscribe flow or by contacting support.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Authentication uses session cookies. Browser storage also supports preferences such as display theme and tool data that you choose to save locally. Hosting and network providers, including Cloudflare, may process request information such as IP address, browser information, and security or performance events.
The site uses Google Analytics and OpenPanel when configured to understand page visits, interaction events, and outgoing link usage. Google AdSense loads advertising services. Depending on the service, configuration, and your choices, these providers may use cookies, similar identifiers, device information, IP addresses, and browsing activity for measurement, ad delivery, or personalization.
You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser and manage Google advertising preferences through Google's controls. Blocking storage or third-party requests may affect sign-in, preferences, measurement, or advertising. This policy does not represent a cookie-consent control.
Engineering tools and shared links
The Buck, Boost, current-check, copper-loss, and alternative-comparison tools calculate in your browser. Their local save functions keep the saved inputs or review notes on your device. Clear site storage to remove those local saves.
A copied calculation link contains the inputs described by that tool. Anyone you send the link to can read those values, and URLs may also enter browser history, service logs, or analytics. Exported reports may include inputs and notes. Review links and files before sharing confidential design information.
Purposes and recipients
We process information to operate accounts, publish and maintain listings, deliver purchased services and requested emails, respond to support and correction requests, measure usage, display advertising, and protect the service. Where applicable law requires consent for a purpose, that requirement still applies; this notice is not a substitute for obtaining it.
Relevant information is processed by the service providers described above and may be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address abuse or protect rights. Providers may process information outside your country under their applicable arrangements and policies.
Retention, security, and your requests
Retention depends on the purpose: account and listing records support ongoing services, order records may be needed for accounting or disputes, and authentication tokens, logs, backups, and provider-held data may follow separate lifecycles. A single fixed retention period has not been specified for all data categories.
The site uses HTTPS and access controls, but no system can guarantee complete security. To request access, correction, account deletion, newsletter removal, or information about other rights available under applicable law, email [email protected] with the relevant account address and request. We may need to verify ownership and retain information required by law or unresolved transactions. Do not send passwords or full payment card details.
